Rim Refinishing

Powder coat is the perfect material for making your wheels last longer. It’s highly durable and resistant to impact, moisture, UV light, harsh weather conditions; this makes it great choice when you want something that will stand up against everything else out there. With thousands of choices in varying colours & finishes the combinations are endless!

It is also a relatively easy process, and it will give your rims a new look without the hassle of painting or plasti-dip.

How Does The Powder Coating Process Work With CoatKings?

Here are the 10 steps we follow for a successful powder coating process:

1. Remove the wheels from the tires

2. Clean the wheels thoroughly

3. Chemically strip the old coating off (powder, paint, plasti-dip e.t.c)

4. Outgas them for over an hour to bring deep impurities and contamination to the surface

5. Sandblast the wheels to remove impurities/contamination and to provide a good surface for powder

6. Apply a basecoat to the wheels

7. Apply a clear coat to the wheels (if necessary)

8. Allow the wheels to cure completely

9. Reinstall and rebalance the tires on your wheels

10. You’re called for pick-up!
